The use of a theory or new framework in a practical context.
For example, Treasury 4.0 refers to the application of - and implications of - the Fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) in treasury.
3. Regulation and law.
A formal request to an authoritative body, for example an application to a court to wind up a debtor company, known as a winding up petition in the UK and other jurisdictions.
