Sustainability - European Union (EU) - European Commission.
The European Green Deal sets out the EU's objective of making Europe "the first carbon-neutral continent" by 2050.
This means achieving net zero emissions, through eliminating all feasible emissions so far as reasonably achievable, and offsetting its residual carbon.
The European Green Deal was published by the European Commission in December 2019.
