UKAR is the UK government owned holding company for the formerly independent Bradford & Bingley plc (B&B) and NRAM Limited.
UKAR also formerly administered the UK government's Help to Buy Mortgage Guarantee Scheme through its corporate services subsidiary UKARcs. This responsibility was transferred to the UK's National Saving and Investment (NSI or NS&I) in April 2019.
