A market which is intermediate between a developed market and a frontier market.

Markets (in order of economic development) are often classified as:

Developed;
Emerging;
Frontier;
Least Developing.


Different organisations produce slightly different lists of countries within these categories.

However, examples of emerging markets generally include Argentina, Turkey, Brazil, China and Mexico.
