An FoHF constructs an investment portfolio of shares in other hedge funds.
Different FoHFs will have different criteria for selecting investee hedge funds.
An FoHF may invest in a number of investee hedge funds of one type to gain exposure to the type but with a variety of fund managers, or alternatively a wide spread of investee hedge fund types as a different way of spreading exposure.
