The European 'Internal Market' is an informal term for the European Economic Area (EEA).
Sometimes written without capitals as 'internal market'.
The Internal Market is sometimes known as the Single Market, reflecting the aspiration for a fully harmonised regulatory environment throughout the Internal Market.
