Competition Commission

(CC).

A former independent UK public body which conducted inquiries into mergers, markets, trade practices and the regulation of the major regulated industries under competition law.

The Competition Commission was merged with certain functions of the Office of Fair Trading to form the Competition and Markets Authority.
